EFI Conversion Part 2

First we installed the Coil , Fuel pump block off plate, dipstick tube then the Distributor.
The Distributor comes with a Indexing pin in the bottom of the housing.Set the engoine
to Top Dead Center #1 cylinder on its compression stroke,Install the distributor and
set it at 20 degress BTDC lock it down and pull the indexing pin from the bottom
of the distributor housing. The Distributor DOES NOT adjust ignition timing It only
phases the rotor, the pick up coil inside the distributor is for fuel injection timing
which can be set thru a scan tool or thru a labscope for better accuracy when
the engine is running. We set it thru our Labscope and verified the proper
fuel timing thru our scanner.

Next we installed the Borla 50 State Legal full length Stainless Header and the Fuel Injection
Intake Manifold which comes with the Injectors, Throttle body and related sensors pre-installed
IF your Jeep has a Power Brake Booster unit, I strongly suggest that you remove the Intake
Air Charge sensor and vacuum fitting from the manifold befroe installing the Engine assembly
because of clearance problems between the booster and the manifold on installation.
You also need to grind a small portion of the intake manifold out by # 5 cylinder header
if you are going to install the Borla Header as we did. The manifold and header will fit
just fine without the minor grinding, I just did not like the Header touching the intake mainfold.
